-Added the menu function OverrideOption for additions, which is primarily intended for use with FinalOption to remove a pre-existing scene exit and move it to the bottom when adding content to a menu. May have other niche uses.

-Color shifting for cgs has now been properly set up, using the "Player" field mentioned prior, and setting the difference between body and silhouette via "Player": "Silhouette"

-Added PlayMotionEffectLoop function. This means it will be played every line afterwards until it's told to stop, at this time it doesn't actually make the effect loop on the current screen.

-The motion effect Quake, no longer auto loops, you need to call PlayMotionEffectLoop.

-Added monster line types "UsesMovePre" and "HitWithPre" which are are done prior to  UsesMove and HitWith respectively, this is to sidestep issues with lowhp calls overriding specific effects that should play everytime a certain skill is used, and also allows you to condense combat event or VFX calls or what have you into a single line for that skill. 

-Fixed up Aiko's and Sofia's dialogue lines with "UsesMovePre" and "HitWithPre" so some of her energy and mood mechanics don't get a lil disjointed by low hp dialogue calls.

-To toggle off an image layer you can now put None, instead of "".

-Added "Kiss" to "PlayVisualEffect" options. As it's slightly different than a screen pulse.

-Added "PlayerCurrentEnergyCost" function which drains the players energy based on their currently used skill. This is for use with counters. This was used to fix the ghosts no longer making you use energy for certain skills.

-Added the "AnimateImageLayer" function which allows for simple frame by frame animation, by overriding a layer on a character. (Check the modding documentation for more details.) It currently supports up to 3 layers to be animated, I will likely add more layers. But you can have as many frames as you want.

-Added play "PlayPendulum", and "EndPendulum" vfx functions, taking a speed/length, angle, and image, "PlayPendulum", "5", "60", "pendulumTest.png". This was made as a test more than anything else. The example image in the games folder should be used as an example if you intend to use the function, as the image needs to be the same size and well centred.

-Rehauled "PlayMotionEffect" To a degree, existing uses of this in mods will need to be updated, as the existing: Bounce, SlowBounce, and Sway, have been renamed: ScreenBounce, SlowScreenBounce, and ScreenSway, respectively.

-PlayMotionEffect now has the following options: Bounce, BounceSlow, BounceFast, BounceOnce, Sway, SwaySlow, SwayFast, SwayOnce, Pump, PumpSlow, PumpFast, Ride, RideSlow, RideFast, Vibrate. Which effect characters on screen. Realign can also be called to fix any transforms that can potentially jank out.

-The original effects: ScreenBounce, SlowScreenBounce, ScreenSway, Explosion, LongExplosion, Crash, and Quake. Always effect the entire screen, including UI elements. And still work as before.

-If you don't take the initial sigil of allure from Sofia, game over, then return, her room now properly changes to her background.

-Enemies will now use stunning skills even if you are immune or stunned already, as long as that skill is also an attack and not just a status effect.

-Venefica now actually uses her Calamity Rush skill when wild while in no stance, instead of only using it when you're stunned.

-Player status effect end turn calls like aphrodisiacs wearing off, should no longer be able to be 'spoken' by the monster by accident.

-Fixed Ancilla's Sleeping Thighjob Finisher skill not being used, despite the player being asleep.

-Fixed recoil damage not getting reset by HitPlayerWith, DamagePlayerFromMonster, and DamageMonsterFromMonster, functions, potentially leading to recoil damage being displayed despite there being no recoil damage.

-Fixed Tabitha's convo about her mirror breaking the event. 

-The sleepy perk for monsters now properly increases energy lost from the sleep effect instead of decreasing it, notably on Sofia. 

-The Insomnia rune and Sheepbite Ring now lower the amount of energy you lose from the sleep effect instead of increase it.

-Sleep now properly counts down its turns while in the drowsy state then wears off.

-Elly now only comments on your progress with the sigils and locations during the day. As she's not working at night and isn't thinking about it. This stops a few scene inconsistencies.

-Fixed Elly congratulating you about the store bought candy samples taking you to the raw sample menu afterwards.

-Fixed a small hiccup with FinalOption potentially leaving in duplicates of the option when used.

-Fixed a display error involving stat points gained when you level up multiple times at once, as it only ever said you gained 2, even if you gained more.

-Fixed hiding the UI on the world map showing the stand in background instead of the world map.

-One of Ancilla's sewing options is now INT instead WILL as it was supposed to be, and has also been lowered to 20 from

-Fixed an issue on normal difficulty would cause you to lose 5 max arousal and energy on respec.

-Fixed an issue with using the image layer function: "ImageSetDontCarryOver", where it wouldn't initiate some layers and overlays when it should.

-Debuffs from the ApplyStatusEffect and ApplyStatusEffectToMonster functions now always apply, instead of having a chance to fail.

-Fixed a bug that could have ImageSetDontCarryOver keep layer information from earlier uses, meaning when it was used again it would appear on screen despite not intended to be on at the time.

-Fixed an event break letting you get infinite progress with Amy.

-Fixed the Bubble Slime's combat event not calling expression changes correctly in a spot.

-The motion effect Quake, no longer auto loops, you need to call PlayMotionEffectLoop.

-Added monster line types &#;UsesMovePre&#; and &#;HitWithPre&#; which are are done prior to UsesMove and HitWith respectively, this is to sidestep issues with lowhp calls overriding specific effects that should play everytime a certain skill is used, and also allows you to condense combat event or VFX calls or what have you into a single line for that skill.

-Fixed up Aiko&#;s and Sofia&#;s dialogue lines with &#;UsesMovePre&#; and &#;HitWithPre&#; so some of her energy and mood mechanics don&#;t get a lil disjointed by low hp dialogue calls.

-To toggle off an image layer you can now put None, instead of &#;&#;.

-Added &#;Kiss&#; to &#;PlayVisualEffect&#; options. As it&#;s slightly different than a screen pulse.

-Added &#;PlayerCurrentEnergyCost&#; function which drains the players energy based on their currently used skill. This is for use with counters. This was used to fix the ghosts no longer making you use energy for certain skills.

-Added the &#;AnimateImageLayer&#; function which allows for simple frame by frame animation, by overriding a layer on a character. (Check the modding documentation for more details.) It currently supports up to 3 layers to be animated, I will likely add more layers. But you can have as many frames as you want.

-Added play &#;PlayPendulum&#;, and &#;EndPendulum&#; vfx functions, taking a speed/length, angle, and image, &#;PlayPendulum&#;, &#;5&#;, &#;60&#;, &#;pendulumTest.png&#;. This was made as a test more than anything else. The example image in the games folder should be used as an example if you intend to use the function, as the image needs to be the same size and well centred.

-Rehauled &#;PlayMotionEffect&#; To a degree, existing uses of this in mods will need to be updated, as the existing: Bounce, SlowBounce, and Sway, have been renamed: ScreenBounce, SlowScreenBounce, and ScreenSway, respectively.

-PlayMotionEffect now has the following options: Bounce, BounceSlow, BounceFast, BounceOnce, Sway, SwaySlow, SwayFast, SwayOnce, Pump, PumpSlow, PumpFast, Ride, RideSlow, RideFast, Vibrate. Which effect characters on screen. Realign can also be called to fix any transforms that can potentially jank out.

-The original effects: ScreenBounce, SlowScreenBounce, ScreenSway, Explosion, LongExplosion, Crash, and Quake. Always effect the entire screen, including UI elements. And still work as before.

-Added &#;PlayMotionEffectCustom&#;, which I recommend you just read through the modding docs file entry on it to understand. But in short it allows you to apply a customized motion effect to characters, a single character, or even a single part on a character, like their expression.

Fixes

-If you don&#;t take the initial sigil of allure from Sofia, game over, then return, her room now properly changes to her background.

-Enemies will now use stunning skills even if you are immune or stunned already, as long as that skill is also an attack and not just a status effect.

-Venefica now actually uses her Calamity Rush skill when wild while in no stance, instead of only using it when you&#;re stunned.

-Player status effect end turn calls like aphrodisiacs wearing off, should no longer be able to be &#;spoken&#; by the monster by accident.

-If you surrender, you now auto fail stat checks when they pop up, which is to say, they are bypassed entirely and you enter the fail path for them with no chance to spend energy to resist.
-You can now click and drag any scroll bar by clicking/tapping in the box and moving up or down, this doesn&#;t work if you hit any buttons inside the box. This should aid in menu navigation on android especially. So long as you tap right of the combat menu as you drag it will move the most recently opened menu. Special thanks to Noeru.

Modding

-Added SetFetish field, which sets a fetish to the value given. This is primarily for resetting addictions, but could be used in other ways. Keep in mind this change is PERMANENT and cant be cleansed at the goddess statue. So be very careful with it.

Balancing

-Post status effect immunities are now handled entirely different on the inside via perks. The important thing is you can now actually tell when someone is immune to something like charm after clearing the affect. Including yourself. I&#;m currently not sure if these are overly obtrusive/noisy or not at this time? So feedback would be appreciated.

-Many enemies have had their status effect resistances change, generally to lower their resistance to stun and restraint effects. Though in a few cases it was increased.
-Stun now has a cool down period before someone can be stunned again. (3 turns generally. But monsters can have different delays.)
-Restraint now has an immunity once escaped for all now, 3 turns. Also gives a bonus % to escaping restraints in case an enemy is using stat checks to get you into them.
-Sleep immunity now lasts for 5 turns up from 4 after waking up from sleep.
-Charm immunity now lasts 2 turns, down from 3.
-Toned down Amy&#;s oral restraint move a bit. Also her pre-existing stat checks were lowered to 15s from 20s. Her Tech was also lowered from 35 to Base damage of her 3 main sex attacks were decreased to 40 from

Balancing

-Simplified the ChangeProgressBasedOnVirility function to be a base line Virility x before the multiplier set by the user. This is to make the function less confusing and easier to understand how fast it will act.
-I&#;ve revised the pent up perks build up via Virility, and it should ramp up slower later, but faster earlier on in Virility amount, overall it should be less punishing until you get past the and marks.
-Recoil damage can now make you and enemies orgasm.
-Increased the Alarune and Nicci&#;s resistance to sex and anal by 10%, as well as their resistance to recoil damage by giving them the Pacing Perk.
-The wait command now restores 5% of your energy.

Systems and Modding New Stuff

-Added the HoldCurrentVirility function, which grabs the current virility of the player and uses it for all checks until HoldCurrentVirilityEnd is called.

Speak will also be handy when handling multiple characters talking given it can be a little hectic with 3 people talking.
-You can now use &#;EventJump&#; in menus to jump right to the event you want without needing to make a scene for it. eg &#;EventJump&#;, &#;&#;Bon Bon Bun'&#;, &#;MenuOptionName&#;. I have also added the ability to specifiy a scene to jump to. Eg. &#;EventJump&#;, &#;&#;Bon Bon Bun'&#;, &#;ThenJumpToScene&#;, &#;StoreMenuReal&#;, &#;MenuOptionName&#;. These can also be used with the &#;FinalOption&#;, function if desired.
-Added the CallSceneThenReturn Function which allows you to jump into a scene then return to where it was called initally. These can be called inside eachother as well. Exiting one of these calls is the same as ending an event, leaving it with no jump. Be sure to end a call or weird shit will happen, like rewinding time. Check TimePassed.json or EndOfDay.json for examples of its use.
-Added CallNextSceneJumpThenReturn which turns the next scene jump into a call and returns to where it was called from, works the same as CAllSceneThenReturn, but you can put a check with it, eg: &#;CallNextSceneJumpThenReturn&#;, &#;IfFetishLevelEqualOrGreater&#;, &#;Breasts&#;, &#;3&#;, &#;quickTiddyCheck&#;, &#; This is NOT to be used with event jumps. There are a few options, I think, but none of them are all that great.

If you're still relatively early on in the game, you could always just restart, but that's always a little frustrating and might not be worth it in your eyes.

If you don't want to do that, I'd recommend you try to take out the sensitivities first, because they are WAY cheaper to take care of than the fetishes, then try to farm/dps race some of the easier monsters in the forest (due to them having penalties for losing only worth a max of like gold), and trying to target the fetishes that those monsters specifically try to get to next (like I know elves' main attacks target kissing, sex, and mouth sensitivities and fetishes) before moving up from that. It certainly isn't perfect, but it's something.

Or, if you want a more underhanded method to go about it, I would recommend using a save editor, and I'll put a link to one below.

The save files are located in C:\Users\(Your Pc Name)\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\MonGirl (with a string of numbers afterwards).
Then you'll have to drag the save file you want to edit into it, then Ctrl + F this:
player > BodySensitivity >
Fetishes are directly underneath this, but they aren't listed like the other ones. You should be able to put everything there to 0 using that except for the baseline fetish you have to set from the beginning (as that one is always at least 2).

And on a somewhat unrelated note to defend myself, I've never used a save editor on this game, merely on other RenPy things that require a dumb amount of grinding to get through, and Cheat Engine doesn't work with RenPy stuff. Annoyingly.

I know my posts are rather gargantuan, even more so now that I'm limited on when I have the free time to post and try to address everything at once to avoid double-posting, but if you don't want to sift through the entire post for relevant information to your interests, simply searching for the word "news" with your browser of choice's find feature when on a page with one of my posts will take you to either the update news section or modding news section at the bottom of my post if there is such information available as I almost always preface those sections with a spiel about update news such as "Now as for development news" or " Now on the modding news front" or something along those lines that includes the word "news".

While an overall subjective question, some of the mods at the very least can be objectively stated as being well-made. Mods like Mari the Butterfly and Gorgon's Garden are able to blend seamlessly with the game as the artists behind some of the art in the base game content were commissioned to make the art assets for those mods. So between the fitting visuals and the quality of the writing, those mods can be difficult to distinguish from base game content. The Oneiros Dream mod can fit well too given the contents are just dreams.

Beach Party and Pale Priestess use custom art assets made by the mod creator Kaa, so they offer rather complete packages as well. Waifupocalypse was once the gold standard mod before the modding community became more active, but the mod developer has left the community and is now developing their own game call Divine Dawn. The writing is a little more distinct from the base game content and some of its content may not necessarily be lore-friendly with regards to MGD, so that could be off-putting depending on your tastes, but it is still a well-made mod overall. And finally, Gren the Frog was a mod done well enough to have been made into official content.

These are just a few examples to showcase the potential quality of the mods that are available. They are certainly worth trying in my opinion. Worst case scenario, if you dislike a mod's content, you can always uninstall it.

Kaa of Beach Party and Pale Priestess and epickark of Mari the Butterfly are both still active. I couldn't provide a timetable but I know Kaa has a sequel dungeon mod planned for Beach Party that will feature Cetuspeanna's Giantess Turtle-girl friend while epickark is currently working on completing the Mari with the last of her content before moving on to their next modding projects, The Spooky Mansion and The Treacherous Swamp. I shared the synopses for these mods from Kark in the modding news section of this post. Spooky Mansion will probably be worked on before efforts shift over to The Treacherous Swamp.

Most of the femdom is of a softer, gentler variety though with only a few characters like Sofia catering to stronger content. For such content from Sofia, just approach her while wearing a collar. Similarly, if you enjoy bondage, maledom, some of the lighter range of BDSM, roleplay, and so on, Beris, who can be found at the Inn, would be a character you will be interested in. You'll just need to either have the Sadist perk or have a high enough level or enough Power to show her you're strong enough to be able to dominate her and show her a good time. Shizu is another good target for maledom, she'll even bring rope along that you can use on her after you have defeated her.

Not every character has scenes for after you have won or lost however, but this is more for the generic mobs. Also, be warned that some after battle ravishing options can be traps in the end. For example, Alraunes will recover as you have your way with them and continue to water them with your plentiful Spirit and will eventually reverse the situation on you. Alternatively, the Tengu has opportunities for reversing two of the scenes where she would have won and allow you to dominate her instead. If she has won via using her magic to enlarge your attributes, simply take advantage of her pride to trick her into supersizing you even more and her mouth and mind will write a check her body can't cash as you'll wreck her despite believing herself to be a size queen capable of taking anything. If the Tengu has won via her mind control magic, take advantage of the mental link and lead her to visions of an amorous wedding. The romantic scene will fluster the Tengu and she'll lose control of the spell, causing it to feedback on her and turn her into your slave temporarily instead.

It is also worth noting that battles and the potential scenes for winning or losing are not the only lurid content in MGD. There are several characters you can have relationships with that offer up plenty of content to enjoy as well. For example, Tabitha the Bat-girl has hypnosis content and she aspires to be a hypno-domme. However, she has strong submissive impulses as well and she'll also attempt to lure you into dominating her with her hypnotic suggestions. In the future, she'll be able to become either a true hypno-domme if you raise her confidence, comfortable with her submissive side and become your willing sub if you raise her submission, or be able to shift between both end states if you raise both attributes.

Because the infrastructure needed to support the CG, both for scenes out of battle and to allow it to be used for the paizuri/titfuck stance in battle needed to be created. Of course, much more work than this is also being done as described in bugfixes, changes, and additions portion of the update news section of my previous post. The VFX system was also broken by a recent Ren'Py update and that had to be corrected as well. And yes, you have read this correctly, a feature that you have long requested, CGs for stances in combat will be supported going forward and Aiko's paizuri/titfuck CG will be used for that stance in battle as well as for content out of battle. It's not as simple as just plugging the CG into the game, especially when there are no compatible systems in place to display it. Of course, now that Beris' art is being folded into this update as well, there is all of the scripting work to make certain that her expressions are working as well.

That would be an erroneous assumption as the artists are creating more assets as all of the other work is ongoing. The issue is that only one person is responsible for writing the new content, coding new content into the game, adding new art assets into the game, setting up systems for the art and properly posing the art assets when added into the game, fixing typos and bugs, play testing, and so on. Threshold handles virtually everything aside from drawing the art which is commissioned instead, the occasional piece of writing that is commissioned, and the editing work that was performed by William in the past.

Basically, the artists are like the draugr. While Threshold writes a new character, the artists are drawing. While Threshold codes in a new area, the artists are drawing. While Threshold adds completed art to the game, the artists are drawing. While Threshold huffs the fluff, the artists are drawing.

Beyond having the Casino for the Dungeon of the Capital, it is likely that Succubus University (SuccU) will be something of a notable location. It may not be a proper or traditional dungeon, but it is likely a location we will probably have to explore as it has likely become more important to the main story with the addition of Intelligence as an attribute as there is now also a Sigil of Intelligence as a consequence of this decision. Other than SuccU as an additional dungeon/location to explore in the Capital, the "Wasteland" around the Demon Queen's Castle may or may not be an area to explore after the Pyramid, the Desert's Dungeon, and the Demon Queen's Castle. Finally, there are two confirmed side quest areas to visit at the very least, the Elf Village and the Harpy Village. Given it is prominent enough to appear on the map of Lucidia, it would not be surprising if the Farm near the Town is another side quest area that will be added as well.

As for new monsters, we know the Labyrinth as far as the Main Story run is concerned will just feature the four Guardians, that is Beris and the rest of the Hellhound sisters, Ceris, Ushris, and the unknown fourth sister. We know that the Capital will have plenty of Succubi and Voltlins as the Succubus Campers and Mara will be present in the Capital for the former while Galvi will be present for the latter. It would not be surprising to see actual Bunny-girls in the Casino and Threshold did discuss ideas about a Slime bartender who mixes drinks in her body in the past, so that character could appear at a different bar in the Capital or at the bar that the Casino will probably have. The Desert is a big question mark beyond probably more Desert Tribe Lizardgirls given that is where Kyra hails from. We know that the Technique Dungeon of the Desert, probably the Pyramid, will have Nihltet's experiments present. So expect more potentially creepy characters or Eldritch beings akin to Amy given that just thinking about Nihltet's creations is enough to make the Oni Twins blanch and shudder and Venefica confirming that Amy was created by Nihltet.

We also know some of the side story characters as Threshold has the MILFy "Dragon Queen" side quest idea planned for the Caverns as well as a flat Arch-imp and a dark Kitsune, but no real ETA on any of those or if they are still all planned to be added. Sofia has also mentioned having a Vampire as a friend/acquaintance from the past who is still alive, so it would not be surprising if we were to meet this presumably powerful Vampire sometime in the future.

That would depend on what system you play on. If you play on Windows, the game uses redundant saves that are located in both the saves folder of the game installation's game folder as well as another set of saves in the hidden AppData. Saves should transfer between versions without any problems as long as you play on the same system, but it is possible that the game may not recognize the saves in AppData in rare circumstances, in which case just move the save folder from the old installation to the new installation. It should go without saying, but do no overwrite an old MGD installation on Windows with a new installation.

Now, if you are playing on Android, if you have to uninstall an old version to install a new version, then you need to use your file explorer of choice to navigate to the Android folder and then the data folder inside that folder. Depending on where you have it installed or how you have set it up, you'll either need to search the Android folder on your SD card if available or in the Internal Storage. Once you find the folder for MGD within the data folder, you'll need to enter this folder look around for the saves folder. Note where you found this folder and then copy it to a safe location somewhere else on your device. Once you have uninstalled the old version of MGD and installed the new version of MGD, then just copy this folder of saves once again and paste it where you originally found it.

In any case, make certain that you have saved at the Town Square/Plaza in Town when upgrading to the latest version of MGD as saves can break if they are anywhere else, such as in the middle of a scene, in the middle of a fight, while adventuring, and so on. So, if you are at the location where you can choose to go to the Inn, the Guild, the Church, and so on when you save, you're in the right place.

can help make certain you are up to date on all of the mods for MGD. Mari the Butterfly has not had an official update as of yet as epickark is finishing Mari before publishing the next update. There is an unofficial fix for Mari made by another modder that can be downloaded directly from Discord

Now as for update news, as you may have noticed thanks to Oluap, and thank you so much for sharing development news while I have been busy at work, Beris' art is being implemented alongside with Aiko's paizuri/titfuck CG. So soon you'll be able to enjoy the cute, submissive Hellpuppy along with Aiko pleasuring you with her breasts. Then once is released, will focus on implementing Stella's art and providing her with some new content so that her art can actually be enjoyed, and then v24 will finally be the Labyrinth update that will move the main story forward. As all of the Hellhounds have their art assets lined up, all four Guardians should have their art when the Labyrinth arrives, so no text descriptions for now unless you enable them to be displayed instead of the character sprites. Aiko's CG should be fully implemented and functional for both enjoyment during scenes and for when she enters the Titfuck Stance during combat. Then there have been the usual bug and typo fixes as well. The following spoiler will go into depth with some of the new changes and additions given this update has been more work under the hood than anything given infrastructure needed to be put into place for CGs during scenes and combat.


As you may be able to tell from the above spoiler, there was a great deal of work behind the scenes to make certain that the artwork displays appropriately. So while the new content for this upcoming update will just be Aiko's paizuri/titfuck CG added to the appropriate content as well as Beris' character sprite art assets, a large amount of work under the hood was required to make certain that the CG would work and actually display on screen. Additionally, some of the new functions and infrastructure to ensure this was needed to correct existing systems like VFX and SFX which were being broken in combat as well. At least with these new functions in place, it will be easier and smoother to add more CGs in the future as the bulk of the work has been taken care of alongside implementing Aiko's paizuri/titfuck CG.

I do hope that everyone interested in this update news finds this at least a little useful.

The Challenge Mod has been released and seen an update to add another challenge mode. The initial release of the Challenge Mod had a challenge where any loss of Spirit would result in losing a battle while the other challenge doubled loss of Spirit. The new mode added in v of the Challenge Mod is Belmont (Castlevania) Mode where you fight purely using your Holy weapons while not running away or having sex with the Monster Girls. Many events have been updated to support Belmont Mode.

Finally, in v of the Challenge Mod, Belmont Mode has received more new Holy skills, True Holy Water now lowers Defense instead of stunning and scales off of Allure rather than Technique, a new scene was added for acquiring the Sigil of Allure or visiting Sofia, and a new song was added for scenes with the Succubus Campers and Sofia.

You can enable any of the Challenge Modes by praying at the Church, but it is recommended to start a new game if you plan on running through the game in Belmont Mode.
