Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Characters
If its conjectured suggestion, gamers will likely have the choice to import either or both of their custom-fitted characters from going before titles or produce a new Time Patroller totally.
Albeit the past two titles gave gamers the decision of planning their own Saiyan, Namekian, Majin or Frieza race, a follow-up might incorporate androids or God substances, for example, the Kais in the situation since their Dragon Ball Super is more conspicuous.
The accompanying Dragon Ball Xenoverse game might change over figures like Cumber and devils like Salsa or Shroom into real characters which individuals could appreciate past their style.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3: Everything You Need to Know
With the first two installments of Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball Xenoverse video game series selling over 15 million units combined worldwide, a sequel to the popular fight RPG is something of an inevitability, especially given the enduring success of the Dragon Ball franchise and its continuing global momentum.
Having players travel across different key moments of Akira Toriyama's beloved manga/anime series to preserve the timeline from tampering by an assorting of time-traveling villains, the titles present fans the chance to become part of their favorite battles in the franchise while telling an original story with hard-hitting online gameplay. While not officially announced by Bandai Namco, here's what to expect with an upcoming third installment in the video game series.

WHAT IS DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3'S RELEASE DATE?
It has been nearly three years since the release of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which first debuted in October 2016. The sequel was released a little over a year after the original game in February 2015. Historically, the Xenoverse games have been officially unveiled less than a year until their actual release so an announcement at this June's Electronic Entertainment Expo could lead to a possible release date in time for the holidays.
Another distinct possibility is a first quarter release for 2020. The original game was released during this sales quarter and, last year, Dragon Ball FighterZ was released in January to widespread critical acclaim and commercial success. In following this strategy, a third Xenoverse game announced at E3 or Tokyo Game Show could lead to a release as little as five months later.
WHAT WILL DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 BE ABOUT?
In the final moments of Xenoverse 2's main story, Goku had suggested that the Time Patroller seek out the Time Patroller from the original game to spar and see who truly is the strongest Time Patroller of them all. This suggests that the game could potentially be a combination of sorts between the original game and its sequel with the vast Dragon Ball mythos as its backdrop.

The original game saw Time Patrol Trunks, a version of Trunks dedicated to maintaining the space-time continuum, enlisting the player character to the time-traveling villains Towa and Mira from manipulating the timeline. The sequel had expanded this premise with Mira and Towa adding recruits of their own including Turles, Lord Slug and Bardock to reshape the time stream in their image. While plot elements of Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT have been explored, a sequel would likely merge these worlds with alternate futures and other divergent temporal anomalies that are similar to the main timeline but still have a few distinct differences as a result of the tampering.
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 CHARACTERS
Just as Xenoverse 2 had featured a new, larger hub world than its predecessor, a sequel would likely go even bigger than either of the two earlier installments. Given its hinted premise, players will likely have the option to import either or both of their custom characters from previous games or create a new Time Patroller entirely. While the first two games had given players the option to design their own Saiyan, human, Namekian, Majin or member of Frieza's race, a sequel could add androids or deity figures like the Kais into the mix given their added prominence in Dragon Ball Super.
As for villains, while Towa and Mira are likely to play a role in continuing the proceedings of the first two games, a new overarching villain could be introduced. Dragon Ball Super has introduced the concept of evil Kais themselves tampering and destroying divergent timelines and the idea of a wider Dragon Ball Multiverse. That could provide a way for alternate versions of classic characters, from either alternate dimensions or timelines, to be introduced along with a more extensive look at the Multiverse's other 11 universes.
Possible Changes
In addition to new missions, refined combat and new gameplay modes, fusion is expected to play a major role in Xenoverse 3. The process of joining two separate fighters into a single, more powerful character played a major role in both Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Super: Broly to fan acclaim. Given that previous Time Patrollers are expected to come together in Xenoverse 3, fusion either through the ritual dance or Potara earrings would seem a natural extension of this.

With the Dragon Ball franchise continuing to expand, a third Xenoverse would serve as the ultimate love letter to the entire franchise including plot points and moments in its history not fully seen before while remixing elements of franchise and blending them in new, interesting ways that see fan-favorite characters and ideas collide together for the first time.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is developed by Dimps and Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Release Date and Updates
Dragon ball series is not just an anime but nostalgia for many. From Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Super, fans have loved whole-heartedly each and every episode of the anime. This love is being shown in Dragon Ball’s video games as well. In recent years, several of the greatest games in the Dragon Ball saga have been developed, with Dragon Ball Xenoverse and FighterZ emerging as two of the series’ strongest rivals.
Dimps developed Dragon Ball Xenoverse with Bandai Namco Games as publisher. The first DBZ game to have character creation was Dragon Ball Online. The second was Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi. Xenoverse is the third Dragon Ball game to include character customization. Xenoverse’s plot is inspired by the Dragon Ball Online MMO, in which recurring villains Mira and Towa manipulate the DBZ universe’s past.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Release Date
The first series of Dragon Ball Xenoverse was released in February 2015. Looking at its popularity, the sequel (Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2) of the game was released soon in 2016. It’s been five years since the release of the second part, but gamers are still waiting for the third sequel. The series started with such a strong impression. But now fans find it weird that the creators have not released the third part even after so many years. Given that the release of the first two games was in less than two years.
Fans have speculated that Xenoverse 3 has been canceled due to the addition of updates to the game and the release of other titles such as Jump Start and Fighter Z. However, given that Xenoverse 3 has been one of the most desired games by fans, we expect Bandai Namco to release it with a boom.
However, the sad news is that there is no official announcement regarding the release date. There are no updates either from the Dimps or Bandai Namco. But we cannot lose hope. Many times, no official announcement has been issued because creators usually wait for the ideal moment to share information with the public. Maybe it is the case with Xenoverse 3, and we might hear about the release when the time is right.
What to Expect from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3?
Xenoverse 2 storyline ended with Goku’s suggestion to the time traveler to hunt the previous game’s time traveler. For the Xenoverse 3, the chances are that it will combine the original title with the Dragon Ball’s big mystery as a backdrop.
Xenoverse 3 is likely to examine themes of the Dragon Ball Super plotline and storyline, as well as combine alternate futures and tinker with traditional meddling. We may anticipate that the series would likely maintain the complicated and bending chronology of the game.
What Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Could Actually Learn From Dragon Ball Heroes
While fans have all sorts of concepts for the seemingly inevitable Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, the unannounced sequel could end up learning the most from Dragon Ball Heroes.
The Dragon Ball Xenoverse series has been running alongside the Dragon Ball Heroes trading card game for around five years. Although the two can be seen as drastically different, they have exchanged a few ideas in that time. Given that Dragon Ball Heroes has been around twice as long, however, the series has had a lot more time to learn and grow into what it is today. The next entry into the Xenoverse series should borrow a few of these ideas if it wants to catch up quickly.

Original Stories
While the Dragon Ball Xenoverse titles do feature a fair amount of lore behind them, there is a lot more that could be done with its unique setup. The time patrollers, a group that exists outside of Dragon Ball's original canon with sole purpose of travelling to a multitude of different timelines where anything can happen, are mostly confined to visiting the same moments in Dragon Ball history that most fans have watched or played through countless times.
For the most part, Dragon Ball Heroes tells wholly original stories even with its limited story segments. These arcs cover all-new territory for the Dragon Ball franchise, even introducing new lore to the series. These stories aren't always a hit and the power scaling can be incredibly off (as seen in the Super Dragon Ball Heroes anime), but they do have their highlights as well. The Xenoverse games have the potential to tell far more grand stories than what fans have seen in Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Fortunately, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's latest DLC does hint at Fu playing a bigger role in the future, which could spell big things for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3's plot.
New Characters
The characters that Dragon Ball Heroes continues to introduce to the franchise are easily one of the greatest things about the spinoff series. Like some of its plots, these characters don't always meet the standards of Dragon Ball canon and some carry a very different feel from an Akira Toriyama original design. The characters that do mesh well with fans though, like the evil Saiyan Cumber, instantly rise to the top of popularity polls, even with their extremely limited plot relevancy.
The next Dragon Ball Xenoverse game can rework characters like Cumber or members of the demon race like Salsa or Shroom into real characters that fans can like beyond their designs. The first two Xenoverse entries have already taken steps in the right direction with original villains like Towa, Mira, and Fu, but they aren't nearly as developed as they could be, even in comparison to their Dragon Ball Heroes counterparts. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 could really work at turning the Xenoverse series into a universe all its own if it gave new faces a chance to shine in the same way that the time patroller avatars do, rather than relying on the cast fans are already so familiar with.
More Race Options
Customization is probably the biggest selling point of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series. Right from the beginning, players can create their very own avatar with up to five races to choose from. It's an amazing concept that many fans have appreciated from the very beginning, creating their original Earthlings, Saiyans, Namekians, Majins, and members of Frieza's race. It's funny though, that even though Dragon Ball Heroes has never put emphasis on a character creation system, it's introduced more races than the Xenoverse games.
There a lot of potential races that could be introduced in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, but the ones already found in the Dragon Ball Heroes series that need to be brought over to Xenoverse are the Androids, Kai, and Demon Realm races. Seeing as members of all these races are already present in the Xenoverse series and players can even train under them, there's no reason why players shouldn't be able to create their own.
Accessible Transformations
Both the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series and Dragon Ball Heroes excel in the category of fan service. While the Xenoverse series plays things a bit safe, however, Dragon Ball Heroes goes all out in terms of "what if" stories. Characters like Gohan and Broly can unlock Super Saiyan 4, Trunks achieves Super Saiyan 3, and even Super Saiyan God. The Super Dragon Ball Heroes anime has even gone on to introduce a new form, the Super Saiyan 4 Limit Break. Transformations have never been the defining point of the Dragon Ball franchise, but they have been featured in some of the more iconic moments and many fans love to have a new form to look forward to.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 should allow players to forge their own path with their character. A member of the Saiyan should not only be able to go the route of the Super Saiyan God line or Super Saiyan 4 (and whatever comes next). In the Dragon Ball Heroes game, players can already access ultra instinct with their avatar hero, a form players can't reach in Xenoverse 2. Even Towa and Fu have reached new forms in the Dragon Ball Heroes series that haven't made their way to the Xenoverse games yet. Rather than limiting itself only to what was seen in the anime and movies, the next Xenoverse game should step forward first and offer never-before-seen forms for its customizable races. If done correctly, it could give fans something entirely new to look forward to and one day achieve for their characters.
The Dragon Ball Heroes and Xenoverse series are both incredibly ambitious in their own ways. There's no clues as to when Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will get an official announcement, but hopefully Dimps brings some of its brighter ideas from Dragon Ball Heroes into the next entry.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse
2015 video game
Dragon Ball Xenoverse is an action role-playingfighting game based on the Dragon Ball franchise developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Games.[5] It was released in February 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
A sequel, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was released in 2016.
Gameplay[edit]
The game is set almost entirely within a number of 3D area which are mostly modeled after notable locations in the Dragon Ball universe, accessed from the main hub – the Toki-Toki City. Fighters can traverse the levels free-roaming in large spaces and can fight on ground, in the air and underwater. The game features spoken dialogue from a majority of main characters while in battle, and characters show facial expressions when they strike an opponent or take damage. Although limited, the players have some freedom to explore the planet Earth as it exists in the Dragon Ball universe along with a handful of other locations, including the aforementioned Toki-Toki City.
Xenoverse is the third Dragon Ball game to feature character creation, the first being Dragon Ball Online and the second being Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.[6][7] Player-created character has the option of becoming an apprentice of the original Dragon Ball characters in order to learn their special moves and access specific costume items.[8] With character customization, players are able to customize their character's race, gender, facial hair, body features, clothing and character's voice effects.[7][9] There are five available playable races: Saiyans, Namekians, Earthlings, Majins and Frieza's race; all of which have race specific advantages and bonuses as well as shortcomings.[10][11]
The online multiplayer is accessed from the Toki-Toki City, which serves as a hub where players can form groups and take on cooperative, time-traveling missions.[7]
Plot[edit]
Xenoverse features an entirely original story starring the player's custom character. The story itself borrows elements from the Dragon Ball OnlineMMO, which sees returning villains Towa and Mira manipulating the history of the Dragon Ball universe. Time Patrol Trunks asks Shenron to send him a hero who would help him restore the timeline.[12]
Development[edit]
Dragon Ball Xenoverse is the first game developed by Dimps to feature full 3D battles, similar to Spike's Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast series. It was first announced as the Dragon Ball New Project,[13] until the actual title was revealed on June 10, 2014 during E3 2014.[5]
The 2014 V-Jump #7 issue, in which the game was announced, draws attention to a mysterious figure watching the first battle between Goku and Vegeta from the shadows. With red hair, a scouter, and the Capsule Corporation logo on his sleeve, this character's identity was not clear. However, it was later revealed that this character is in fact a newly created character, confirming the game's character creation feature.[14]
Promotion[edit]
Pre-order releases from participating retailers of the game come with the exclusive Shenron Black Metalcase, Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as a playable character and two exclusive versions of Frieza Soldier's Battle Suits for the player character.[15] A collector's edition, called the Trunks Travel Edition, which includes a figurine of character Trunks, has also been announced.[15][16]Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, a character from the prequel to Dragon Ball, manga Jaco the Galactic Patrolman appears as a Japanese pre-order bonus, along with a Master Roshi costume set to customize the player's character with, a Trunks card for Dragon Ball Heroes, and a code that unlocks Trunks in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle.[17]
Release[edit]
Dragon Ball Xenoverse was originally released on February 5, 2015, in Japan[18] and was slated for release on February 13 elsewhere,[19] before being delayed.[20] Following a two-week delay, it was released on February 24 in North America and February 27 in remaining territories.[1][20][21]
Reception[edit]
Critical response[edit]
Reception
Dragon Ball Xenoverse received "mixed or average reviews". On review aggregating website Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating in the 0–100 range, the PlayStation 4 version holds the score of 69/100 based on 50 reviews,[4] while the Xbox One version holds 67/100 based on 18 reviews.[22]
Popular Japanese video game magazine Famitsu gave the game an overall score of 30/40 saying that it "isn't without its faults and flaws" noting the repetitiveness of in-game missions and lag in team battles as its main drawbacks, concluding that the game is "aimed at Dragon Ball fans" and it might "appeal to fighting game fans and gamers that love fast action games".[24]IGN gave the game a score of 6.7 out of 10, praising its "true-to-form graphics", unique story and customizable characters while criticizing its "shallow combat" and "unfair missions", noting that the game might appeal to "someone who enjoys anime, fighting, and role-playing games".[31]Hardcore Gamer gave the game a 3.5 out of 5, praising the "create-a-character functionality", game mechanics and multiplayer mode, while criticizing the in-game camera movement and distancing from the established Dragon Ball continuity.[29]GameTrailers gave it a slightly lower score of 6.0, noting the same flaws mentioned by both Famitsu and IGN, such as the "shallow combat" and repetitiveness as well as its potential appeal to mainly the franchise's established fan base rather than general audience while also noting that "those without such a strong attachment to the franchise may not be able to stomach the compromise."[28]
GameSpot also gave the game a score of 6 out of 10, praising its detailed character customization system and a "new, interesting take on a tired story" while also criticizing its loose controls, repetitiveness and unbalanced gameplay.[27]Destructoid gave it a score of 4.5 out of 10 or "below average", stating that it "has some high points, however they soon give way to glaring faults". While giving praise for the game's fighting mechanics and aesthetics as well as its similarity to source material, the general game design from balancing issues to repetitiveness is heavily criticized; saying that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse has some of the worst design decisions ever embedded into a video game", going on to conclude that "it certainly has its moments and the core fighting mechanics are great, however the game falls flat in too many other areas to be standout title." The review also specifically noted the lingering online service related technical difficulties and poor performance on certain platforms.[23]
Toonami, during their aired video game review segments, gave the game a more favorable critique, giving it a score of 8 out of 10, stating that compared to the last few Dragon Ball games, Xenoverse "finally got it right" and that it's "a must" for Toriyama fans.[36]
Sales[edit]
As of March 17, 2015, 1.5 million copies have been shipped worldwide.[37] The game was the second best-selling for PlayStation 4 on PlayStation Store for the month of February 2015, behind Dying Light.[38] In April 2015, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that more than 2.5 million copies had been sold.[39][40][41][42] In February 2016, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that a total of 3.13 million copies had been shipped worldwide.[43][44] As of July 2018, Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2 have collectively shipped over 10 million units worldwide.[45][46]
