Fuse in Stud 1 is 50amps - Should I change it to 40amps?
Ginman said:
What, I hope you mean for camping? The mod bug hasn't bitten ya hard enough if you think that could be the last thing....there is never a last thing to do....because there is always the next mod
.
So, why was the 50 amp the trailer feed anyway?Click to expand...
Hmmm.... I should have clarified. Hooking up my brake controller was the last essential thing I needed to do to the truck to get it ready for camping.
I suspect sperry was correct about the previous owner. The truck was originally purchased in Saskatchewan and well... Sometimes those Saskies aren't the swiftest.

There are always mods to do.... Current items on the list are:
1) Av: new decals sitting at home waiting to be put on
2) Av: maybe a custom bowtie
3) Av: moving the 7pin connector to the bumper
4) Av: miscellaneous repairs like intermediate steering shaft (appt made)
5) TT: fishing rod holder in pass-thru storage
6) TT: some drawer mods (change a flip-down to slide-out)
7) TT: add some wire shelving
9) TT: port-holes in propane tank cover
I could probably go on.... but I should get back to work.

Trailer Wiring
Important: The trailer harness and fuses must be connected to the engine wiring harness junction block. The trailer harness circuits are identified in the following table. Please take note of the maximum current ratings of the circuits.
Stop lamps and turn signal lamps are similar to the description in Exterior Lights Circuit Description, with the exception of the following conditions:
" From the stoplamp switch, voltage is supplied to the turn/hazard switch on CKT 17 (WHT).
" From the turn/hazard switch, voltage is supplied to the TRL L Turn or the TRL R Turn fuse on CKT 18 (YEL) or CKT 19 (DK GRN).
" From the fuse, voltage is supplied to the trailer connector

What is stud #1 fuse?
The manual states that STUD #1 is “Aux. Power (Single Battery and Diesels Only)/ DUal Battery (TP2). Do not install Fuse. The fuse is a 40A. It does not blow if just the headlights are hooked up.
What is the TBC fuse for?
UPDATE: I found out the TBC is the fuse for the Body Control Module.
