Hey there, had my jimmy for almost a year now and would rlly like a soft top. i loved having the hardtop off last summer, so much fun! Whoever has a soft top can you please give me your opinion on it and if its worth the money?

http://www.softopper.com/gmc-jimmy-gen3-soft-top-truck-cap-details.aspx This is the only site i can find that sells soft tops and they are abit pricey.

Worth it. Definitely worth it.

I really like mine.

Looks like you don't have a cage, but I am talking to an upholstery shop to make me a custom bikini top. Think it would work best with a cage. Much cheaper, less involved, less drilling, etc.

There is no drilling to install a softopper.

You can have a bikini top made cheaper but you won't be able to close it up and have total weather protection.

I love mine. Once you get one you will really despise the hard top. Especially after you get a pickup tailgate to go with it.

YES it's made from quality material!
Sides up and down easy full topless a little pain in the ass.

Especially after you get a pickup tailgate to go with it.

That's my next project!

Interesting, do you know if a Softtopper would fit over a rollcage? The full soft top is definitely better, but I doubt I will really drive my K5 in rainy weather.

Yup, softopper fits over the rear EOR cage.

http://www.chevyk5blazer.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=13914&d=1363540727

It will also fit in the folded down position with the bood on it. You will need to unlatch the support arms to get it over the rear cage hoop when laying it down though.

Rolling the sides down when it gets cold comes in handy too, not just for rain.

I am thinking about possibly going this route but what the heck does this mean??

"Rear Mesh Screen Panel (info below)"

http://www.softopper.com/chevy-blazer-gen3-soft-top-truck-cap-details.aspx#prettyPhoto

There is no info below on the page so kinda stumped

Exactly what it says...a mesh screen for the rear window portion...kinda like a screen door on your house.

The rear panel has a strip of Velcro accros the top that holds it to the top. then a heavy duty zipper down each side to secure it closed. To use the screen panel you unzip the zippers and seperate the velcro and remove the panel and the screen panel attaches in it's place.

04-21-2014, 04:40 PM

ah, well that makes sense. So is it worth the 80 bucks?

GobblerK5

04-21-2014, 04:43 PM

If ya want fumes in the back of your K5...then ya its worth it! :)

lloydrage

04-21-2014, 04:55 PM

No fumes with top off for me. Of course my exhaust kicks out in front of rear tires

70-K5

04-21-2014, 05:15 PM

Gene ordered it for the 89, if you've got dogs and you want to roll the sides down and keep them cool then yea maybe but personally I wouldn't spend the money on it.

So the question is do I get new leaf springs or soft top?

Hmmm....

Zelda

04-22-2014, 11:44 AM

Do you need new springs, or do you want new springs? I know you don't need a soft top. So it comes down to the needs and the wants.

Evidently i drink too much:qtip:
Humor aside though, do folks with soft tops get rid of the hard top altogether generally- that's what I'd be tempted to do as I'm in CA but im not sure how practical / waterporrf these tops are?

70-K5

04-28-2014, 03:27 AM

I have a soft top for my 70 and a hard top that I was going to recondition but I've never really driven in the rain enough to make me want to deal with the hard top.

Never had a hard top for the full vert 89, parked it outside for a bit and didn't have much of a problem with the top leaking. The only place you have water intrusion is around the windows as the seal isn't 100% and if you don't have the flaps out you can get a little dribble inside. Nothing like wet seats or soaked arm rests... just a little drip here and there.

HOW do these softtoppers fit to the bed rails? Do they fasten using the bolts / bolt holes that hold the hard top down? if they fasten using clamps around the bed rails that will effect how I set up the interior.

wow Softopper emailed me back QUICKLY - Kudos to them, Answer : yes it attaches using the bolt holes that exist.

Although everyone expresses sympathy, but in their own way. Vitaly loves to touch his chest and finish his face more, I will never forget this contented face when he did all. This for the first time. Roman likes the way she ends, he generally loves to give more than to receive, he is the ideologist and ideological inspirer of.

This whole company of turning someone else's wife into a whore, and her husband into a horned idiot who likes it all.

I continue to fuck Tanya. Then with short pushes, then pushing to the full length, with strong blows flattening her back with his hips. Tanya stands all louder. She moves her hips to match me.

Similar news:

The second guy (Dima) gave me a robe, I hastily put it on, without taking my eyes off the floor. Sergei approached, I moved to the wall. "You fool, don't be afraid, you will like it" - with these words he passed my breasts through specially threaded slots.

Only then I looked at the robe and saw that the robe was opening at the bottom, leaving all my charms open. Dima brought me some kind of drink.
