Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 end date and possible Season 4 release date leaked

The latest Fortnite patch (v13.40)appears to be the last big content drop for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3. The update finally introduced cars to the game, and it seems to be the last update before v14.00 hits.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 end date

The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 end date should be 27th August 2020. This information has been revealed thanks to dataminer and leaker, Lucas7yoshi.

There seem to be no development servers for a Fortnite v13.50 patch, but there's already one underway for the Fortnite v14.00 and 14.10 updates, which signals the release of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4.

At the time of writing, there is no official release date for Fortnite Season 4, but the end date of 27th August 2020 has been floating around for quite some time, and it looks like Epic Games are on track for the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 end date.

When will Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 start?

As is tradition, we can expect a big event and build up to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 before the end of August 2020. While an exact start time and date for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is still unknown, it is likely Epic will release it before 1st September 2020.

Leaker Lucas7yoshi even showed Epic Games already has test servers for Fortnite patch v14.10 running.

There could, however, be some delays and nothing is set in stone.

While you should take information such as this with a grain of salt, there's a good chance Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3's end date will be 27th August, followed by the start of Season 4.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is packed with astronauts and we're thrilled

If you think that the point of Epic Games' Fortnite is fighting out a battle royale to win at the end, think again. Yes, you can focus on winning that sweet Victory Royale if you want. But for space nerds, the game's current season is filled with ancient astronauts, spaceships and more.

Fortnite is a third-person shooter that you can play either on your own, or with friends. You pick up gear and participate in challenges, which on the space side lately, included launching two secret missions. As you level up, you earn outfits, swag and dance moves — and yes, there are astronauts and planet-themed stuff here as well.

The game, which is now battling Apple and Google over direct payments for mobile apps, is most famous for its player-on-player combat, but in recent years it has added on experiences to appeal to a wider audience. These include (but are not limited to) concerts, movies, talks and even a creative mode where you can just explore the map and chill.

Fortnite Season 3: Start date, event, map and battle pass details

Fortnite's latest season, Chapter 2: Season 3, launched June 17 and saw the player map almost completely flooded by water, which then gradually receded week by week to reveal a transformed landscape.

So where's the space content in a season that is focused on water, and aquatic beings such as Aquaman and his archrival Black Manta? Surprisingly, space is just about everywhere.

Let's start with Siona.

Described as "a wanderer in a lost world," this female astronaut outfit becomes available to players when they get to Level 80. Siona allows you to play the game as an astronaut — in different outfit colors, yet — which is awesome enough. But she also may be key to figuring out what is happening in the next season of Fortnite, which is currently scheduled to drop Aug. 27.

This month, the receding Fortnite map revealed a crashed spaceship with another "ancient astronaut" inside. For a while it was underwater, but regular Fortnite Twitter leaker @FortTory spotted the ship lurking near Craggy Cliffs and examined it up close when the ship emerged from the water.

On Sunday (Aug. 16), the astronaut (his name is Deo), landed in Fortnite's item shop for players to buy with Epic's in-game currency V-bucks. He also has a backbling called Lunar Sim, a glider called Starcross and moon-themed wrap called Homescape for his gear.

Numerous players pointed out the ancient astronaut's spacesuit resembled Siona's. The spaceship became available to players as a secret challenge on Aug. 1. Players needed to pick up three parts (a thruster, battery pack and the always vital heat shield) and install them on the spaceship for a launch.

Where the astronaut goes next is … unclear, although the spaceship obviously flies into the clouds. The launch also opens space "rifts" that allow you to warp up into the sky for a few seconds, before you fall back towards the ground. But experienced gamers suggest that this space content could point us to what is going to happen in the next season.

"Fortnite hasn't really gone to space yet — though it has received space-themed cosmetics — but would it involve taking all the players to a new map altogether? Or is it heralding something alien-related? If the spaceship is ancient, is that implying it came from the past and time-travel is involved? At this point, all fans can do is speculate," GameRant wrote late last month, before the ancient astronaut challenge launched.

There is also a team of Marauders in each Battle Royale match who emerge from a rift in the sky, land their space capsule and proceed to attack players.

There's more fuel for a space-themed season embedded in recent challenges. Another secret quest had players helping a group of mini-islanders known as the Coral Buddies. The goal is to help these cute creatures — who are isolated on islands at the top-left side of the map — progress through the wood, stone, modern and nuclear ages.

For a water-themed season, Fortnite surprisingly has a lot of space skins and content available in its levels. The "Battle Pass" (available for 1,000 V-bucks or $7.99 USD) is advertised as including Levels 1 to 100, although more content unlocks well into the 100s.

The most obvious-space related content is quite high up in the levels, with a "Comet Crasher" glider coming in at Level 90, a "Planetary Vibe" dance unlocking at Level 84, Mini-Moon back bling at Level 77, and of course Siona at Level 80. There are also a couple of space-y contrails that are available, with Stardrop available at Level 43 and the Photon at Level 66.

This week, Epic Games gave all active players a cosmic harvesting tool, the Shooting Starstaff Pickaxe, for free. The tool looks like a small meteorite crammed onto a staff and powered by strange blue energy, with a color scheme that matches Siona's default outfit colors.

Fortnite also dropped a mid-season space event called the "Galaxy Cup", on July 26 and 27. Top-tier android players could compete for a Galaxy Scout outfit and other gear, while all participants received a basic galactic "wrap" for weapons after doing some of the tournament. A few weeks later, Fortnite made the Galaxy Scout outfit, glider, harvesting tools and wrap available in the store for two days. It's unknown when the set will be back, but keep checking daily when the content refreshes.

Historically, Fortnite has been known to drop space-y updates. This spring, "Star Wars Day" (May 4) featured lightsabers as weapons, as well as buyable outfits featuring Rey, Kylo Ren and a Sith Trooper. An in-game concert dubbed "Astronomical" ran from April 23 to 25, featuring rapper Travis Scott. While Scott's in-game avatar sang, players got to fly above Earth, to see auroras shining in the sky, and to look at cool astronaut outfits; happily, Scott uploaded the entire experience on YouTube if you missed the show.

You'll also see periodic entries into the Fortnite store with space themes. An example is the Astra constellation outfit and associated constellation wrap, which have appeared twice in recent weeks. At least one other astronaut-themed outfit popped up in the store earlier this season, too. The actual name of Fortnite's Battle Royale island, according to game files, is apparently Apollo — mostly likely a reference to mythology, however, and not NASA's moon landing program. (The Chapter 1 island was called Athena.)

Long-time players may remember that space themes have been around a while. A Millennium Falcon-shaped glider was available to all gamers for free, during last December's Winterfest. Astronauts debuted in 2018 during the Chapter 1 Season 3 Battle Pass. Live events in the game have also included a comet, asteroid impacts and even a huge black hole that swallowed the Fortnite map whole at the end of Chapter 1, in October 2019.

The game has been working hard to bring in more newbie and casual players like me, including introducing cars in early August and embedding humorous "Easter eggs" as you wander around. One of my early sessions with friends this spring had us stumbling upon, of all things, a King Arthur-like sword embedded in a rock. More recently, Fortnite placed an in-game soccer/football experience on the map where teammates can kick balls into the goals and see who is winning on the scoreboard.

A space-themed season would be the ultimate experience for space nerds like ourselves. In the meantime, though, remember to look up whenever Fortnite's map falls into darkness. I regularly see auroras shining amid the stars, which reminds me how space touches all of us — even in a virtual world.

Editor's note: This story, originally posted Aug. 15, was updated on Aug. 17 to include the official release of the Deo astronaut character in Fortnite.

እረኛዬ ምዕራፍ 3 ክፍል 1 - Eregnaye Season 3 Ep 1 @Arts Tv World

Season 3 of Chapter 2, or Season 13 of Battle Royale began on June 17th, 2020 (originally April 30th, June 4th, and June 11th) and ended on August 26th. The theme of the season was water themed.

The new updated map shows more than a half of the upper side of the island being severely flooded during the first few weeks. But with new seasons, comes new mechanics, POIs, and new weapons. There are new bosses with new Mythic weapons to find in-game.

Over the course of Season 3, the water level had started to recede until Week 7 of the season.

The Battle Pass Tab now features a fortilla instead of a spy-base.

Teasers and Hints

On April 29th, a group of posters were leaked in the game files labeled as teasers. These posters can be seen on a building owned by No Sweat Insurance in Lazy Lake, which all 3 posters are placed around the building multiple times. The following teasers below are the full posters that can be found in the game files:

  • No Sweat Insurance Poster 1

  • No Sweat Insurance Poster 2

  • No Sweat Insurance Poster 3

On June 1st, Sony/PlayStation accidentally leaked the pre-cover for Season 3. (This has been done before by them every other season.) It shows the Battle Bus over the ocean and a three palm tree island in the background:

On June 15th, shortly after The Device Event, Fortnite posted a main teaser for Season 3, and will most likely post more until Season 3 However, a second teaser was seemingly accidentally sent out to creators who leaked the second teaser:

Teaser Analysis

  • No Sweat Insurance (NSI) Poster 1 features an image of a house being lifted over a large body of water with a life-ring, remaining fence left in the water. The teaser confirmed that any houses that were insured by No Sweat Insurance were protected by the flooding.
    • NSI Poster 2 features an image of Meowscles waist-deep in water and wearing arm floaties and a pair of shorts. There was no new skin or style for Meowscles, however a new skin related was added, Kit.
    • NSI Poster 3 features an image of a shark beneath Peely, swimming on the surface of water. The teaser confirmed that sharks would be added to the game.
  • The leaked PlayStation pre-cover was joked around by some to be a secret hint to a Spongebob crossover, since the shape of the background island is similar to one often seen with Spongebob.
  • The first pair of featured images show some type of lens focused on a trident over water. The numbers 0203 are shown multiple times along each image, which represent Chapter 2 Season 3. The teaser confirmed the idea of Aquaman as a skin as well as Aquaman's Trident as a harvesting tool.
  • The second pair of images show the similar lens focused on what is a small image of the moon in front of an astronaut outfit. The numbers 0203 are shown consistently along the images. The teaser confirmed a new astronaut skin, Siona, and the Mini Moon as her back bling.
  • The third pair of featured teasers show another lens focus, now on some sort of new POI. The number set 0203 is still in the images. The teaser was confirmed to be a new named location, called The Fortilla.
  • The fourth pair of featured teasers show one last lens focus on a small Meowscles on the handle of what appeared to be a bike. However, this turned out to be a new outfit called Kit, a small cat controlling a robot that can turn into a vehicle with a traversal built-in emote.
    • Teasers 6 and 8 could be lined up together and reveal more of The Fortilla.
  • The ninth and final teaser shows an image of all the previous teasers shown around a metal owl. This suggests that the owl is what took the pictures of the teasers. The owl turned out to be a Pet called Ohm.

Battle Pass

Main article: Battle Pass Chapter 2 Season 3

The Battle Pass for Season 3 costs 950 V-Bucks, and is a way to earn exclusive rewards during the season by earning XP and increasing your level. The rewards included in the Battle Pass include: Outfits, Gliders, Wraps, Harvesting Tools, Back Blings, Emotes, Sprays, Contrails, Music, Loading Screens and more.

Challenges

Main articles: Chapter 2 Season 3 Weekly Challenges, Aquaman Challenges

With Chapter 2 Season 3, Weekly Challenges became available within every week of the season. The challenges, as it says, are unlocked around every week. By completing them, large amounts of XP are rewarded, and the more challenges that are completed, the more requirements can be met to unlock other styles for Battle Pass outfits. All Weekly Challenges are available until the season ends.

Similar to Chapter 2 Season 2, challenges still exist in the Battle Pass tab, changed from a spy headquarters to a personal fortilla. Most of the challenges, besides style challenges, are still available through the challenge table, labelled Map Challenges. When a challenge must be completed, the hologram on the Challenge Table will hold the information. When a location is listed to a specific location, a number will be placed at that location based on how many challenges are required to be completed there. Challenges also include unique icons, such as a chest, explosion, exclamation point, and multiple others. When areas on the map are gray or labeled as ???, it means that there are a new locations there or the old locations have changed significantly.

In addition to Weekly Challenges, other unique challenges will become available as the season progresses. Similar to last season, Aquaman is now the special skin for the season and has special challenges, called the Aquaman Challenges, to complete and unlock Aquaman. As well as the Aquaman Challenges, a set of other challenges will become available, set to unlock styles to choose for the Brella, which can be fully customized with multiple options. These challenges are available until the season ends.

Achievements

Main article: Achievements (Battle Royale)

Achievements are back from Chapter 2 Season 2. Instead of being colored gold, they are colored blue and purple/violet, similar to Chapter 2 Season 1's achievements. Most of the Achievements are copied from the last two seasons, however more achievements are available to complete for the new mechanics of the season.

Cosmetics

Various thematic sets including Cosmetic Skins, Harvesting Tools, Emotes and Gliders are also to be released during Chapter 2 Season 3 as part of the item shop components on daily rotation basis and Battle Pass rewards.

Season 3 2 chapter

Fortnite has cars in Chapter 2, Season 3, but where are they?

UPDATE: Cars in Fortnite have finally arrived.

Fortnite cars were something that was teased at the very beginning of Chapter 2, Season 3, but they took quite a while to actually arrive. Epic Games has now told us they're getting ready to put driveable cars into the game starting Wednesday, August 5th.

The event is being teased at the Fortnite Joy Ride update, and features a number of selection of cars.

One of the teasers for the Joy Ride Update features a semi-truck, hinting that we could be able to drive the large automobile. This would be in line with the teases near the start of the game that also showed a semi-truck driving.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 is here after a long wait, and one of the biggest questions is if gamers will be able to drive cars.

Epic Games released a pair of trailers for Fortnite to announce the start of Season 3. One was simply advancing the story of Fortnite while the other told you what was new in the game. We'll be focusing on the second one, which is called the Battle Pass trailer.

In this trailer, a voice can be heard narrating the scenes and at one point says there will be "new ways to get around" while footage shows people driving in cars.

Fortnite has had driveable vehicles in the past such as the golf cart, the quadcrasher, planes and helicopters. But all of these were the same type of vehicle. In the trailer, you can see people driving all variations of cars from regular cars to trucks and even a semi-truck.

But if you launch your game up right now and try to drive a car ... well you can't.

Where are the cars in Fortnite?

The cars can be located throughout the map, but unfortunately the ability to drive cars in not yet in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3. The trailer clearly indicates at some point this season you will be able to drive cars, you just can't do so right away.

"Throughout your adventure, there will be new areas to explore. New ways to get around and hot new surprises," the trailer claims.

Epic Games has not stated exactly when you will be able to drive cars and trucks, but did provide some clues.

"As time goes on and water recedes, even more locations will be uncovered," Epic Games states. "And as the roadways become more open, you'll discover new ways to get around."

So at some point in Season 3, the water will die down and you'll be able to drive around in various vehicles. The cars will be a welcome edition once they're added. One of the biggest complaints since the launch of Chapter 2 has been the lack of mobility. Now with boats, helicopters and all these cars there will be plenty of ways to get around the map.
