How To Check Hydraulic Fluid Level On John Deere Tractor

Jan 07, Maintenance TipsFeaturedJohn Deere Tractor R

Hydraulic fluid is the lifeblood of your hydraulic system. Having the right quality and quantity of fluid in your hydraulic system is vital to full lift cylinder action, drive action, and steering. It also protects the hydraulic system components (charge pump, hydrostatic pumps, control valve, and the hydraulic pump motors) from damage. We recommend doing a quick check of your fluids daily as part of your pre-start inspection.

Here are instructions for how to check hydraulic fluid level on a John Deere tractor:

  1. Park the tractor on level ground with implements down.
  2. Run the engine at approximately rpm for at least one minute. Stop the engine and wait three minutes for the oil to settle. Oil temperature should be approximately 45° C.

IMPORTANT: Never check the hydraulic fluid level with the tractor running. The engine must be turned off to get an accurate read.
  3. View the oil level in sight glass (A). The level should be between the marks on the glass with the optimal level being just beneath the top mark.
  4. If oil level is below the lower mark, you will need to add oil.

How to add hydraulic fluid on a John Deere tractor

  1. Wipe away any debris from the reservoir area.
  2. Remove hydraulic fluid reservoir cap (B) and add John Deere Hy-Gard Hydraulic and Transmission Oil using a clean funnel.
  3. Add a little fluid at a time to avoid overfilling the reservoir.

Some John Deere tractor models differ, be sure to check your owner’s manual for instructions specific to your machine.

Key Information About the John Deere

The John Deere tractor is not only powerful, but compact and versatile. It comes standard with four-wheel drive, as well as power steering and a hydrostatic transmission, making it a great option for mowing and loader work.

John Deere

Let’s take a closer look at the some of the other key features.

TNV Series Engine

The TNV Series engine of the John Deere comes with three cylinders. It is powered by diesel, and the engine itself was developed to meet Tier II Environmental Protection Agency standards. This means that it has low levels of both exhaust and emissions, giving operators peace of mind as they work.

Maneuverability

The John Deere is a compact utility tractor, meaning it can fit into any tight space you have around you. Its high horsepower-to-weight ratio also makes it an ideal piece of equipment for a wide variety of tasks, including tillage and snow blowing.

Implement Compounding

This tractor has implement compounding, which means that it allows mounting more than one implement at a time. This reduces the need for changeover while working. A loader, backhoe and mid-mount mower can all be left on the John Deere at the same time.

HST Transmission

The John Deere has a hydrostatic transmission. Fluid under pressure transmits engine power to drive wheels through a hydraulic pump and motor. The unit itself acts as both a clutch and transmission. Operators don’t have to worry about clutching for fast direction changes, and they have several ground speeds to use while working.

Common Hitch Compatibility

All of the front implements of the John Deere use a common hitch. Operators can easily switch them on and off within minutes, and tools are not necessary. The iMatch Quick Hitch also makes it simple to change rear implements on a whim.

Optimized Lighting

Standard lighting on the John Deere includes two front-mounted sealed-beam headlights, amber-flashing warning lights, and a built-in tail light. A rear work light kit is also available for operators who want even more illumination when the sun is down.

Operator Comfort and Safety

The John Deere open operator’s station is designed for more comfort and heightened visibility. It has fender-mounted handrails that are large and easy to grab. Operator controls are also color-coded for easy identification while working. The operator presence system can detect when the user leaves the tractor seat, and it will shut down engine for safety precautions.

I sat down and took his hand, he was hard and the veins on him throbbed. After running my hand along the entire length, I felt a little pouting member, and Dimulya sniffled. After running his hand over the penis five or six times, Dima twitched and his penis began to shoot me in the face.

No - I. Said - it's mine and smeared it on my palm I licked the death off my hand, it tasted sweet.

And then the movements stopped. The muffler was completely submerged in the stretched bosom. Seconds later, three barely audible muffled shots rang out. One of them seems to have passed through and a dark red spot formed on the back of the dress. Xenia's body tensed sharply and then fell onto the bench.
